The countdown to the summer holidays happens a lot sooner in our children’s minds than ours. We were the same at their age, right? Remember the months in the run-up to the school holidays? It was so exciting to think of the freedom. No, seriously, it really was. And maybe we had Alice Cooper’s classic rock anthem School’s Out for Summer! playing in our minds.
It was the end of another academic year and the beginning of another year of becoming more mature.
No more early morning wake-ups, no more early breakfasts, and no more homework. Maybe the list is a bit longer than ours but we’ll let your kids fill in the missing spaces!
If you’re thinking about what your child could do over the summer, aside from the usual summer-filled activities that excite 2-12-year-olds (seeing friends and family, day trips, staycations, going abroad), how about considering child modelling? It could be a fun opportunity for you and your child to enjoy!
Models Direct specialises in many modelling categories and child modelling is one of our popular divisions. We have worked with a myriad of companies over our thirty years in the modelling industry. From tiny, small, medium and mega companies, we have had plenty calling for child models for their marketing campaigns to come to life.
Our recent campaigns have included companies such as Disney, Dobbies Garden Centre and Morrisons which demonstrates the variety of clients that approach our modelling specialists looking to hire our young models.
Aside from our plethora of clients and successful assignments, why should your child sign up as a model during the summer with us?
They will learn new skills such as teamwork, resilience, and following directions.
They will have the opportunity to be creative, especially with the variety of modelling assignments we see. Projects may involve demoing products, acting, singing, or dancing so if your junior has a passion for any of these skills or more, they can let it shine!
Take a look at what Zainah (PGNT-4469) got up to on her Disney’s Frozen assignment through her mum’s eyes. She was our star child model selected to celebrate the phenomenal movie’s 10th anniversary! (Where does the time go?)
“When I signed my daughter up, the process was very easy and smooth, I was very much in the loop every step of the way. Within a few months, my daughter was offered her first assignment, which was great! I was over the moon as it was so fast, plus it was for a global kids company.
The assignment was well explained to me, and I knew exactly what I needed to do as Claire kept me posted very frequently.
On the day of the assignment, I met with the team who were all lovely and welcoming to both me and my child. It was a very great experience, and my daughter had the time of her life representing her favourite character.
We would definitely recommend models direct as we have had nothing but a positive experience since signing up, and we are sure there will be more to come.”
They will build their personal development such as increasing their confidence, developing their social skills and navigating through criticism and rejection more positively.
They will also see potential industry exposure, the scope to network with other industry professionals and of course, a financial reward for their hard work.
We think that’s enough reason for you to consider signing up your child for child modelling. As an icing on the cake, unlike many other professions out there, there’s no experience needed.
Just ensure your rising junior model star is being represented by a reputable agency (like ours) We’ll take care of the rest! Sign up here.
