Diet and exercise are buzzwords. Fact! We’re bombarded with online and offline promises for quick results and spectacular transformations. When we live in a world where we’re accessing information fast, we’ll also want other things at bullet speed and approaches to diet and exercise might lead to unhealthy and unsustainable methods.

So how we’re reimagining our buzzwords is we’re putting them together to give us a holistic approach. We’re never encouraging fad diets and strenuous exercise but instead channelling these areas positively so that everyone reading this blog has a goal (if you don’t already) to have a balanced and healthy relationship with food, movement and most importantly, ourselves.
Quit dieting
Your body needs food as fuel for energy. Rather than focusing on what you can’t eat, look towards what you can. More water, more fibre, more grains. If your body is telling you it’s hungry, think of fuelling it with healthy stuff and don’t restrict it!

Aspiring to be a size zero isn’t a healthy goal but we know how much pressure there is to have the perfect body. Our agency embraces everyone, no matter what size you are, and we get our models booked for wonderful assignments. We’re all about celebrating our diverse models from plus-size and curvy models to petite models, and it’s definitely not about losing weight just to bag a gig!

Body movement should focus on the great things your body is capable of. Being healthy is a gift which should be taken care of and exercise which your body is happy to do is what will work best in the long run. Exercise shouldn’t be a punishment because you had a chocolate muffin but it should focus on keeping yourself moving gently.
Take care of your mental health
It’s not just physical health which needs the spotlight but mental health too. You need to go easy on yourself as acquiring good health through diet and exercise takes time as it’s a journey. There will be days that you eat a cake or have a burger, and that’s okay! As long as you’re consistent in eating healthy and moving around doing the things you enjoy, your overall health will thank you.

Dieting and exercising shouldn’t control your life. It’s about feeling good about yourself and having the energy to do all the things you love. It’s a celebration of your body and mind where conforming to strict diets and restrictions coupled with difficult exercise regimes aren’t recommended routes to body and mind happiness and well-being.
