We’re feeling 2022 will be a good one…
Time is flying so quickly, we’re already waving goodbye to February and welcoming March! As quickly as this year has kicked off, so will the movement of fashion trends for this spring/summer season so we’d better be fast!
Models Direct thought we’d help you out if you’re readying your wardrobe for modelling assignments this first quarter of 2022. What’s in? Polka dots? Wacky colours? Or floral motifs? Let’s see…
Miaow! Catsuits are BACK
When we think of catsuits we cast our minds back to Catwoman’s black, latex superly slick suit. Fast forward to this year and you’ve got an amazing collection to take your pick from for different looks as seen on runways. Team yours up with a belt and heels for a party look or to bring out your feline street look with sneakers and a denim jacket. This gem is available in all sizes to suit all shapes.
Shimmer and shine sequins
Who doesn’t love sequins? Running your hands across them to change them over, the way they catch the light and the vibrant colours they are arranged with, sequins are back and making it big for this spring and summer. Whether it’s a shimmery top or jazzy skirt, you can bet you’ll look amazing in the winter sun and great on camera for any e-portfolio updates or social media posts you might want to add to your Instagram Reels.
Pretty broderie designs
Embroidery is back and in particular English embroidery, thanks to the French equivalent broderie anglaise. It was popular in the 19th century (Victorian era) and made a few appearances since then. However, this year we’ve seen its gorgeous eyelet cuts incorporated into lots of apparel. Blouses, shirts, dresses, skirts and trousers (sorry if we’ve accidentally missed any other categories) are all turning up on our high streets with elements of this delicate and luscious embroidery. Frills, cuffs and collars are not to be excluded either.

We cannot wait to share this year with you, we’re super excited! There’s so much happening as we’re connecting with even more clients and models. Thanks to our dedicated Models Direct booking agents, they’re working hard to build strong long-lasting relationships with photographers, TV and ad companies and commercial organisations.
