We’ve got a staggering number of mature models (aged 50 years plus) on our books, but our clients can never have too much of a good thing. Consequently, we need even more mature models – especially in the build-up to Christmas and even in the New Year when things tend to wind down. That’s the beauty of our industry: there’s never a dull moment or slump in demand. And that’s just the way we like it – busy, busy, busy.
There are so many benefits to being a commercial model, and there are even more plus points for those in your “peak years”. Mature models often have more spare time on their hands, and they have plenty of life experience that can really shine when the film cameras start rolling or when the photographer asks for the most natural poses.
It doesn’t matter in the slightest if modelling appeals to you but you’re questioning your modelling CV. All our commercial models need not have any other modelling experience under their belts. They should know – the final choice is always their decision, and they know exactly which looks they need to make their marketing plans go with a bang. We’ve well and truly put the mundane lockdowns behind us, so the last few months were ideal for everyone to once again pick up the pace and start trying new things. This applies more so for mature models; modelling is a great way to travel, meet new people and earn some well-deserved money. It’s really a win-win situation.
Plus, if you can’t make an assignment because of last-minute commitments (babysitting the grand-kids, for example), it doesn’t matter – as long as you tell us! We never hold it against one of our models if they turn down a job. We’ll simply recommend them again to clients should their look be suitable for future jobs.
