There is a perception that you can’t launch a successful modelling career beyond your teenage years but that really could not be further from the truth!

Of course, we know many stories of supermodels who were spotted as schoolgirls and went on to build massive careers for themselves within the industry.
But the reality of everyday modelling is that agencies like Models Direct need people of all ages – from newborn babies up to retirees!
So what should you do if you want to start modelling in your 20s?
1 Find a reputable agency
With over 30 years of experience in the world of modelling, Models Direct is a genuine, trustworthy agency, with an enviable reputation. Not only are we inspected and accredited as a legitimate employment agency by the British government, but we also have a wealth of experience, an impressive array of clients and an abundance of work to offer the right models in their 20s. You only have to read the many reviews from those who have worked with us to see this for yourself.

Your 20s can be a fantastic time to start modelling. You are youthful, energetic and hopefully ready to try something new. If modelling is something you feel you could be enthusiastic about – and you feel confident enough to give it a try – then why not? It can also fit in well with the other things you may be doing in your 20s – studying, working or having some downtime before setting out on your full-time career path. And don’t forget, modelling can be a great way of networking and making new friends, which is why many of our 20-something models love it so much!
3 Find out more about the work

Read our blogs to find out more about the kinds of part-time jobs we offer our models in their 20s. You could find yourself modelling fashionwear for young people, posing as a customer in a bar or restaurant or playing the part of a student or employee. If you think you would enjoy being paid to do any of these things, then please continue to consider modelling as a pastime for you…
4 Take some modelling shots
Choose a couple of seasonally suitable outfits, rope in a friend and head out to take some modelling photographs to show us. You don’t need professional pictures, but we do need to be able to see your whole face and your images need to be sharp, well-lit and uncluttered. But people in their 20s are used to taking photos on their phones and often have a good eye for what works well and what doesn’t.
5 Fill in our form
Edit your pictures down to the best one or two, then fill in our form and upload your photos. Someone from our agency will be in touch to explain more about how Models Direct works and to answer any questions you might have. This gives us a chance to see if you might be suitable for the assignments we offer – and vice-versa. Remember, you don’t have to have experience to join Models Direct!
One assignment we sent a number of new models aged 20-something along to was a shoot for Greene King in one of its establishments.

Afterwards, Michael said:
“It was an absolutely fantastic shoot.
“I enjoyed the day fully and the whole process from start to finish was very smooth and organised.
“Gemma was amazing in communicating and organising the day.
“I am looking forward to another in the near future.
“Thanks Models Direct.”
