To have the best chance of being selected for modelling work you should join a trusted, reputable modelling agency.
Models Direct has been in the business for more than 30 years now and we have an extensive list of well-known clients – therefore we must be doing something right!
Many of the other so-called “agencies” that advertise for models are in fact unregulated individuals or companies who simply display photographs without actively seeking work for their models.
Therefore, the first step towards being selected for modelling work is to do your research thoroughly, read lots of reviews and only sign up when you really know who you are signing up with.
When models do join us, however, we always explain that we never guarantee to be able to offer any of our models work.
Yes, of course, we send a continuous stream of models off to shoots right across the country and beyond.
We have a full inbox of requests for models from existing clients and we are constantly building relationships with new companies, brands and agencies.
You only have to browse our website and social media platforms to gain an understanding of the variety of jobs our models attend every day.
Some of our models find work with us quickly and work for us over and over again.
For others, however, it can take longer – and there may even be those who are unlucky enough not to be selected.
This is because the final choice is always made by the client and not by Models Direct.
Our clients send us their requests and we scan our e-portfolios to find people who meet those precise descriptions.
We then present the client with a selection of models and they choose the person (or people) they would like to use.
We explain to our models that there are steps they can take to give themselves the very best chance of being selected.
These include updating their e-portfolios regularly, taking and uploading new photographs every few months and responding quickly if we get in touch with them.
We understand how frustrating it can be when you are not selected, but it really is worth hanging in there and keeping on top of your e-portfolio.
And you only have to read some of the feedback from our models to see that it really is worth the wait!
