With the demand for ‘real’ model families continually growing, Models Direct are on the look out for some more to join the books and our latest campaign found one VERY special family…
When casting a family for a campaign or shoot the chemistry is much more natural and easier to work with if it’s a ‘real’ family apposed to a family that has been put together. Model families are used lots in commercial modelling, Models Direct has supplied families to many large household names, holiday companies, brands and also charitable campaigns, the demand is always growing!
Recently we ran a search for a special family to appear on the front cover of our Christmas edition of IMAGE magazine, the response was overwhelming, but we are delighted to announce that the chosen family is….. The McDonnell Family!
This is what Laura said when she found out they had been selected:
“I am delighted that we have been chosen! Thank you! Here are recent pictures of my family taken last month.
I entered our family into this competition as we have been through a very tough year and we are hoping to have the most wonderful Christmas together as a family of four.
Our daughter Evie was born on the 24th October 2017, she surprised us by making an early appearance and also surprised us with her extra chromosome. Evie has Down Syndrome and was also born with Congenital Heart Disease and required open heart surgery in January 2018 to repair two large holes.
Evie was in hospital for the first four months of her life which was very difficult for our family and especially our little boy Callum, who is 5 years old. We had to split our Christmas Day last year between Callum at home and Evie in hospital, which was a 1 hour and 30 minute drive away from our home.
This year we are stronger than ever and we are making the most of each and every day as a family! We are blessed to have two wonderful children and such an amazing and supportive family around us! ” – Laura McDonnell
