It’s that festive time of year again and we are all busy planning our seasonal activities, buying last minute gifts and thinking about the happy times ahead.
At Models Direct we have been busier than ever in the run up to this Christmas – in fact, helping our clients out with models for their festive photo shoots began months ago!
Christmas campaigns are a major source of work for many of our models and very often advertisers start planning the next one not long after the new year begins.
We have sent some of our child models off to shoots where they have met Father Christmas and we have put our male and female models forward for numerous Christmas gift campaigns.
Well, now the hard work is done, and it is time to sit back and enjoy yourselves.
Whether you are already a model or are considering joining us in the new year, then Christmas can be a great time for reflection – for looking back and thinking about what you have enjoyed this past year.
It can also be an opportunity to make plans – and perhaps even considering dipping your toe into the world of modelling might be one of your considerations for 2023.
Christmas is also a time for relaxing, spending time with your family and friends and sometimes getting to know work colleagues a little better too.
It is a chance to pull some of your dressiest clothes from the wardrobe and to really have fun with them when you head off on festive nights out or for Christmas parties.
It is also a time of year when we tend to over-indulge, treating ourselves to some of the goodies we are perhaps a little more moderate with at other times of year.
And there is nothing wrong with that! After all, everyone deserves a treat.
The key to not letting treating yourself impact on your normal healthy regime too much is to decide in advance which days of Christmas you are going to have as special days.
Then you make sure you start back up again on your normal healthy eating – keeping an eye on the sugary and fatty foods, and the sugary drinks – once Christmas is over.
It is easy to incorporate lots of delicious fruit and veg into your diet over the festive season – just think about all that mouth-watering roast veg you can enjoy with your Christmas dinner – so attempt to do this where you can and to keep drinking lots of water too.
Try to relax over Christmas too. Find quiet time for yourself away from the hurley-burley of the festive excitement from time to time.
Take yourself out for a run or walk every now and then and try to make the most of the opportunity to sleep a little more if you are lucky enough to have a few days off.
Those of your with e-portfolios and those considering joining us could also think about taking a few fresh photos to upload.
Get the camera out if you are dressed up for a night out, looking good on Christmas day or having fun on a winter walk.
We would love to see some great new images of you having fun and we would love to see you looking Christmassy on your e-portfolio.
In the meantime, a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all and we look forward to working with some of you on next year’s festive photo shoots as the year progresses!
