Stepping out in front of the camera for the very first time is never easy but at Models Direct we do all we can to support our Aberdeen models.
Whether you have modelled with us before in the Scottish city or you are a new model, joining us with no experience, we are here to support you.
The first step for any model eager to try modelling, is to fill in our form, send us a photograph and then wait for one of our friendly team members to call you.
Everyone who works for us understands how anxious you might be about the idea of modelling and taking on your very first assignment in Aberdeen.
So this is your opportunity to ask us anything you like!
We will explain more about your contract with us, how – as a fully vetted employment agency – we go about seeking work for all our male, female, child and pet models.
And then you can decide whether or not you want to give it a go.
We do explain that we can never guarantee to find anyone work because it is our clients who make the final selection.
But, if you join us and keep your e-portfolio up to date, you will certainly be in with a chance of being offered work right here in Aberdeen.
No two assignments with Models Direct will ever be the same.
We work with a very broad array of clients both here in Scotland and across the UK. We also sometimes even offer our models work abroad.
The assignment could well involve a photo or film shoot or you could be offered promotional modelling work, where you might attend an event and support the client by handing out leaflets or chatting to visitors.
The booking itself could be for almost any product or service – you could be helping to advertise a small boutique right here in Aberdeen or a global company with a base in the city.
You could be asked to pose with particular products; dress in certain outfits or simply look like you are having a good time in a beautiful Scottish location.
We will explain everything to you when we offer you an assignment. We will also tell you how much you will be paid and whether you will be entitled to any expenses.
Then you can decide whether or not you want to accept the job if you are chosen by the client from the shortlist of suitable models we offer them.
If you are chosen and you accept the booking, then we will remain on the end of the phone to answer any questions you might have as the date approaches.
The production crew on the day will also look after you well.
They will tell you when you will be needed, whether you have to go to hair, make-up or wardrobe, and where you can go to relax when you are not required on set.
After the Aberdeen assignment is finished, we will call you again to find out how it went and whether you enjoyed it.
Then we will ensure you are paid promptly within the following few days.
Two of our models, Tahla and James, both gave us feedback after their first bookings with Models Direct in Aberdeen.
They were asked to take part in a corporate branding photoshoot for Aberdeen strategic communication experts Aspect.
Afterwards, Talha said:
