It’s a miracle of nature that you exist. 

That’s a bold statement, but a true one, nevertheless. Whilst some scientists argue over the approximate odds on any one person living in the first place, there is statistically more chance of one individual winning the National Lottery than being born – maybe millions of times more.

It’s a staggering comparison, and it serves to highlight how special we are. All of us.

That’s the beauty of simply being you. We all have some common traits as human beings, but it’s the individual ones that make up our character and makes us unique.

Even on our bad days, take comfort in knowing that being you means that there is no one like you anywhere in the world. Even identical twins are not 100% indistinguishable, and even if they were, their behaviours wouldn’t be a carbon-copy.

So, everyone is a biological phenomenon with something to offer.

Modelling is a rare work opportunity to display uniqueness. Individuality and diversity are embraced more in modelling than in most industries, and that’s not just a quaint sentiment. Whilst some companies pledge to support diversity but in truth offer little, there are hundreds of brands that want to engage with audiences of all looks, all abilities and all backgrounds, and the best way to do that remains employing the best models.

Physical disabilities can hinder certain activities, that much is true. However, no one should be excluded from modelling, which is why our disabled models continue to shine in many assignments throughout the UK and abroad.

Plus size models are just as desirable, reflecting the number of potential customers that brands want to appeal to. There is no desirable waistline size or weight in commercial modelling, as it’s all-embracing and all-inclusive.

Mature models are generally classed as anyone over the age of 50 years, and the surge in popularity is not surprising.

Individuals with uncommon characteristics are striking; they stand out for what they are: confident people who are happy being themselves. Let’s celebrate the modelling industry as all-encompassing, with the number of successful assignments as proof that anyone can achieve great things.
